Sun Catcher

From Sasha

It's that time of year when I finally start to notice that the sun is going down earlier. The crickets are getting louder at night, and the river-- oh, the river. There is never enough Summer for the river. Whether I want to face it or not, when the Equinox comes the Yuba will be too cold for me to go swimming anymore... and that is a mere five weeks away! So, like everyone else, I am trying to make some room in my busy August to get in the water.

I figured I would seize the day and take pictures of these awesome dresses that I just scored!:

(Why do my toes look so weird underwater? I swear to you that I have normal-looking feet!)

The setting sun was shining right on me for a few minutes, and I got a total Duran Duran look in this picture:

The very beginning of twilight has got to be my favorite time of day-- it's so bittersweet, and so ethereal. Things must end for others to begin, I know, but I hate to see the summer go! I'm holding on til the very last minute...
